Eclipse
The morning's prompt is "wind chimes." I nearly wrote a poem earlier this afternoon while I was waiting for a call from my CPA to say my tax return is ready -- but it seemed almost too simple to post. When I came back to post it anyway, I found that it had already been posted by another April poet -- my idea had been taken! However, there is an event this evening that is worthy of mention, and since I cannot pulse it, I'll mention it here as a poem!
The moon will turn red
The earth’s shadow blocks sunlight
It’s called an eclipse

Indeed it is- one more hour!
I'm planning to get time-lapse shots up to full eclipse, if I can stay awake that long!
I hope you saw it -- the fog came in just at midnight here, so I didn't get to see the blood moon part of the event!
Doesn't the eclipse happen at the same time around the world -- it should be ready for you in about an hour, just as it is here -- assuming a 3-hour time difference, you should go out at about 9 pm your time and take a look, just to be sure!!
I gave up around 5:30 this evening and went out to supper -- when I got home at 7:00, there was a message that the return was ready -- I picked it up right away, and will return the e-file authorization in the morning -- all is well, and I will get back almost everything I prepaid!!
weather people said starts at 9 eclipse at 10:30
They've said full eclipse at 12:07 here ~ ~ ~
I never get anything back. Ok. I just went out to see where it is
it's nice and bright I'll try at 9 that would be good, if it's early.
Ok I got it partial eclipse now 8pm. total eclipse begin 9 max eclipse 9:46 eclipse ends 10:30
we are socked in by clouds tonight ~ so disappointing ~
Oh, dear -- that is disappointing! I'm headed outside to catch the full eclipse, but won't stay up much longer! Will post anything that comes out well.
Great haiku!

I watched it! Went outside, wrapped up in a blanket and watched for about ninety minutes. It was so cool and beautiful!
I will go out again one more time before I head for bed.
I hope you were able to get some shots!
HUGS!!!
I was up almost till the actual full eclipse, but that was midnight and the fog was coming in and I didn't wait to see if the fog would leave again! Didn't get to see the red part, but there was one tiny sliver of very bright light the last time I was outside.
The nerve of some people, Stealing another person's poem. My original poem was going to be a video of wing chimes but I ran out of time and energy.
I loved your poem instead!!!
I love the haiku and I'm sure my windchime post is not original - but I've done it and it is going up anyway...
That was so funny to see my poem already posted, practically word for word!
We couldn't see it because of bad weather here. We got 2 inches of snow.
Snow still?! I saw part of the eclipse, but the fog came in, true to form, right at midnight when the eclipse was at its fullest.
did you see it?
Sort of -- I posted photos!
Love the haiku!
It was way too cloudy here last night to be able to see the eclipse.
The June gloom fog rolled in just as the eclipse was at its fullest!
Very creative and cool poem. I did get to watch the blood moon, with the sun's light reflecting from behind. It was awesome~~~at 2 a m.
Yay!!!
