Supermoon 2
This evening is the second full moon this year that is a Super Moon. As the moon rose behind the roof across the street, I was able to capture these two shots -- the camera didn't focus well on the other shots I tried.

It was truly beautiful!
We took the dog for his evening walk and got a good look at the Super Moon - sadly the cell phones did not capture a clear photo. Sparky thought about going back out with the real camera but would have had to walk a ways to get a shot because of the trees surrounding our house...
Silly me -- didn't think to change to a long lens! Will remember that next month for the next super moon!
We saw it early in the evening, but then it was covered by clouds. Seems like that always happens here.

Ours was bright and big.
It was huge here, and bright yellow -- silly me forgot to use my longer lens!
I love seeing the super moon - and to think that both of us can see it at the same time.

We had a sky with scattered thunderheads that glowed with the moon's light. That coupled with the heavy monsoonal air made it feel like a tropical paradise.
The thunderclouds have been beautiful from here! Not so much the monsoonal air flow, though

In the past when I have waited for the moon to come out so I could take some pictures, there has been a cloudy night... always. SO this time, I didn't even attempt to go outside to check on it. My bad!

I missed the moon and my wife said it was too cloudy anyway. Thanks for the photos at least.
nice shots. it was too high in the sky where i live to get a good shot but i did get one with my phone in the morning as i left for work
I imagine it was just as beautiful as a moonset!
