There's Water in the Lake Again
As I usually do when in Santa Barbara, last week I took a day trip to visit Lake Cachuma. The lake level was at 7% in November when I was last there -- it's risen to 47% now, thanks to one day of very heavy rain in March!
I have posted photos on WordPress, learning how to use that blogging site, and refer you to the site at the following link. https://slmret.wordpress.com/. This site expires on June 2, and I have not heard back from Xanga regarding extending it, so my future posts will be available at that site, and you can subscribe to them by clicking on the "follow" button on the lower right side of the site. I look forward to seeing you there.

So pleased to see water in the lake again.
I will try to follow you on wordpress. So happy the lake has more water. That's wonderful!
I am glad your lake is filling back up. You can have the rain that is supposed to come here, if my prayers are answered. The torrential rain the night before last sprung a leak in my bathroom ceiling. Looking for the silver lining, at least it was over the tub where there is a drain so I didn't need set out buckets or mop up a flood in the morning.
I do Not want Xanga to go away completely. I hope you hear something soon.
Yes, I'll try to find you on Word Press.
Oh, that water level looks MUCH better!
Doesn't it?! It's about the same as it was in April, 2014, the second year of the drought. The desal plant is up now, and in its final testing phase -- after 2 weeks of successful testing, they can say that it is now operational!
