Catching Up
About ten days ago, I visited the harbor at Dana Point again for a few minutes. On the way there, I saw evidence that the ground was grateful for the little bit of rain we had during the previous 4 days -- there is a color green!
There were a few herons in their nests, though not many, as it was too early in the afternoon and they were out fishing.
On a weekend afternoon, the entrance to the channel was quite busy!
I visited the harbor again today, and will post more photos in a day or two.

Beautiful greens, blues, and a great shot of the heron. Can hardly wait for Spring to bring the green back to the Midwest!
Unfortunately the green will soon turn to brown, as we seem to have had our rain for the year! Glad you enjoyed these!
ahhhh, how I long to see green in our area again ~ it has been soooo long!!
Unfortunately, this green will only last another few days -- we seem to have had our rains for the year! We had a few days of green last year, but it's a long time since we've had a good green spring!
The herons are my favorite! I wonder about the little ski doo things amongst the bigger boats, that would make me very nervous I think...then again I'm old and cautious =) Have a Great Weekend Janet!
hahaha -- the little ski doo things make me very nervous even without bigger boats around! Glad you like the herons -- I have a couple of new posts in the wings, and there will be lots of herons!
Wow. when I looked outside this morning it had snowed again. Everything was a bright white. I am sick of snow. I want to see the green again! Thanks for the appetizer of spring green in the photos!!
This green will unfortunately change to brown very soon -- a week or two is likely all we'll get this year, and it's been a long time since we've had a good green spring!
I was relieved to see San Diego sporting its signature greenery, over the past two days. Looking forward to a similar scene today in OC.
I hope you saw some green in OC, Gary (forgot to ask you!) -- and I expect you will in San Clemente. At least the sun came out this afternoon!
yes, the little dessert plants don't need much rain but that's why they survive in the dessert.
But the rest of the little plants, like this grass close to home, needs more rain to stay green for longer than a few days!
Janet, I really love your photo work. You are a pro!!
Thanks, Frank!
