Friday Sunset
This is the sunset that, but for the fog, I wanted to show you one night last week. It happened again, except that there wasn't the fog this time! I'll leave you tonight with just a couple of shots, unedited and straight from the camera.

It was truly spectacular -- I watched it with the camera for almost a half hour as it changed from the least bit of yellow color to the fading magenta that signalled nightfall. More when I've had a chance to edit the shots, and to select which few to show.

Are these from tonight? My breath was taken away by the sunset as I was driving home at around 8pm.
That's an incredible capture don't need more than that!
Straight out of the oven too, good going. Some sunset shots are over saturated.
Oh wow, Janet! So beautiful! The sky is on fire. I love these . peace & smiles
WOW!
Aw-Some! Those colors are absolutely amazing! Good work Mother Nature and good work you!
What a coincidence, I posted mine on FB tonight.
What an awesome sunset. Thanks for sharing these!
@reginasikora - Yes, they are from this evening. I shot almost 80 shots from 7:29 until 8:00 when the light became too low for the camera to get good shots. The clouds were wonderful, and made for a brilliant sunset!@wematter - There is much more of a progression that I'll show soon -- some need cropping, few need color enhancement or contrast adjustment! It was great fun shooting!@peacenow - Thanks, Jane -- I'll let nature take the credit for these -- I just recorded them! Thanks for the rec!@christao408 - Thanks, Chris -- It was truly a gorgeous sunset!@whyzat - Thanks -- I'm glad you credited Mother Nature -- I had a lot of fun just recording this sunset!@baldmike2004 - Sorry I won't see yours on FB -- I'm not there!@TheSutraDude - Thanks (and for the rec). It truly was awesome -- the whole sky was pink at one point! I'll show more when I've had a chance to go through them more carefully.

Nicely done.Been trying to upload more photos form my trip but it just gives me an error message. Is there something I'm "not getting" about Xanga?

Thanks, Val, and for the rec, too.@craftea - Thanks, Heather! Yes, Xang'as in transition -- it will be wonky for a while -- try again later.@RakkaRay - Thanks, Ray -- these came straight from the camera, with no editing at all -- I'll show more, edited shots in a future post, but most of the edits were simply straighten and crop, with no change to the color. Settings -- Pentax K-100D, 18-35 lens, f-8 or 5.6, AV setting (I set f-stop, camera does the rest). Nothing special -- just a gorgeous sunset!
That looks beautiful.
