An elementary school often has poignant sayings on its marquis -- today's (perhaps this week's) is: Learning is a weightless treasure you can always carry. (Chinese Proverb)
There is lots of truth there. I'm an advocate of lifelong learning!
There's lots of lifetime learning, both formal and experiential -- I just thought this was particularly poignant!
I'll pass that on to Brianne! After she graduates in Dec. with her BA in the Business School at UMHB, she'll continue with online studies. Her dream is to get a Masters in Urban Design at ASU. ( 8
Oh, wow -- graduation already?!!! That's an interesting combination of Business and Urban Design!
How true! Education in so many ways keeps giving its riches to the person. I hope I never stop learning.
We learn in so many ways that truly we can carry the act of learning wherever we go -- I thought this was a wonderful quote for a school marquis!
Good one, Janet
Thanks -- I thought it was pretty good!
I love to learn ~ would love to learn how to create a post easier! Janet, I am finding it nearly impossible to edit a post. IN the "creation" box, no matter what I do, the words appear BESIDE a different picture instead of below the picture I just inserted. I have to really concentrate to get a post done. When I preview it, the words are below the picture where I want it, but in the box where we actually create the post, I cannot even tell where I am working! Bah!
There are several boxes where you can create a post -- you might try using a different box. Also, it might help to hit enter after each photo before you write more text -- though you might then have to go back and delete the extra spaces that would create. I've not had that problem, so I'm afraid I can't help very much.
That's a good one!!
I did lousy in school. lol I did OK in junior college, but that was it. lol
Oh, Frank -- you're still learning!
So true!
As a teacher, I love how eager kids are to learn! Their discovery and creativity are always a joy to be a part of!
HUGS!!!
For kids, everything is new and something to be learned -- we can carry that weightless treasure with us all our lives !
